We’re 7 days into 2022 and it’s time to start getting serious about how we’re snacking. I’ve posted several recipes on this blog for healthy meals and snack ideas, but I’m doing a snack 2022 edit and wanted to share it with you!
This year I’m trading in the chips for the fruits and, after this latest battle with the flu, I’m being extra careful about what I put into my body. Last year I used to eat ruffles and dip like it was going out of style. Now, I still love my ranch dip, but I’ll be trading in my ruffles for cucumbers this year. Cucumbers are a great snack because they have a great crunch and work well with so many dips. Check out this cucumber snack recipe I posted last year! It’s one I love to make and keep in the fridge — however don’t dip these, they are great alone. Be sure to go through previous posts and grab some my recipes, they are great!
My 2022 Snack List:
– Beets and Avocado
– Cucumbers and Dip
– Nuts
– Granola
– Cottage Cheese (but not too much, I’m cutting down dairy in 2022)
– Tomatoes with Olive Oil and Pepper
– Fruit, lots of fruit.
Many of you may be wondering about ways to cut down on unhealthy food. It’s really not that easy and takes a lot of discipline, but here are the tips I’m using to help myself stay away from the ruffles!
Eight Ways To Cut The Junk Food:
1. Plan your snacks.
2. Think before you drink.
3. Base your meals around protein.
4. Start your day off on the right foot.
5. Make healthier swaps.
6. Practice mindful eating.
7. Buy less junk food.
8. Save takeaways as a treat.
That’s it! Happy, healthy snacking this year guys. You can do it!!! Tag or DM me on IG at @AskHeatherMariannaBlog if you have any great healthy snack ideas for 2022.
XOXO,
Heather
