When you are a busy boss like me, meal prepping is so important, which is exactly why I bring it up so often! That being said, I really never got the whole breakfast meal prep down. I honestly just eat leftovers from my other meal preps for breakfast or have cottage cheese and tomatoes, lol. But one thing I have really ramped up since moving and getting busier by the day is JUICING! This really gets me going for those early morning and before I know it, it’s already 11 am.
Juicing is more than detoxing, it’s a great way to get fruits and veggies into your system and vital nutrients that we all need. According to the Mayo Clinic, by drinking freshly made juices your body can absorb the nutrients better than eating whole fruits and vegetables. It also gives your digestive system a rest from working on fiber. They say that juicing can reduce your risk of cancer, boost your immune system, help remove toxins from your body, aid digestion, and help you lose weight. Fresh juices can give you a burst of energy as well as a clear mind.
Some of the most popular vegetables to juice are carrots, cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, beets, and romaine. The most popular fruits to use in juicing are lemons, oranges, apples, and limes. Other add-ins are fresh ginger, parsley, chlorella, and turmeric. I use all of these a ton!!! I also highly recommend Turmeric gummies as a dietary supplement.

Here are the basic ingredients I use for juicing, feel free to print this out and use this blog post as your shopping go-to list!
Kale – insanely low in calories, powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties, and helpful for arthritis and autoimmune diseases.
Spinach – the beauty of spinach lies in how easy it is to disguise the taste. It’s mild tasting, yet packed with vitamins, has anti-cancerous properties, and is one of the healthiest foods on the planet.
Cucumber – since it’s 95% water, it’s an incredible detoxifier and helps with liver and kidney function.
Lemon – one of the most important items to stock in your kitchen, as it’s a highly effective cleansing agent and cuts through the bitterness of greens.
Carrots – known for being a good source of beta-carotene, fiber, Vitamin K, and potassium. Carrots have been linked to lower cholesterol levels and improve eye health.
Celery – low in calories since it is mostly water. It is a low-glycemic food and a good source of dietary fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin K.
Beets – contain nutrients that may help lower your blood pressure, fight inflammation, and support detoxification.
Apples – “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” is a famous saying for good reason. Helps to fight inflammation and heart health.
Oranges – immune system booster since it is high in Vitamin C and low in calories.
Turmeric – anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Ginger – aids in digestion and supports the immune system.
Here are my three favorite juice recipes!
Lemon Turmeric flush drink – I love this juice after weekends for good reason.
-2 cups Water
-1 Lemon, squeezed
-1/2 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
-1/4 teaspoon Ground Ginger
-1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)
-1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon
-1 teaspoon Stevia or 1 Tablespoon Honey or Real Maple Syrup
Mix together water, lemon juice, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper (optional) and cinnamon. Add stevia, honey or maple syrup to taste. The cayenne pepper adds a kick to it so not everyone can handle it.

Beet, Carrot, and Kale Juice – I love this one post workout with some grilled chicken.
-4 carrots
-3 large beets
-1 apple
-1 bunch of kale
-1 inch piece of ginger
Wash and gently pat dry the produce. Chop the ingredients into sizes that will fit through the feeding tube of your juicer. Juice the ingredients, alternating between hard and soft items. Serve the juice immediately.
Immune boosting Carrot Celery Juice – This recipe is perfect for when you’re trying to avoid getting sick. I also recommend this recipe when you want to use up extra produce. This is the perfect juice for everyday juicing, especially during pandemic times with fewer people wearing masks every day.
-1 bunch carrots
-1 bunch celery
-1 apple
-2 oranges
-1 lemon
-1 bell pepper
Wash and gently pat dry the produce. Chop the ingredients into sizes that will fit through the feeding tube of your juicer. Juice the ingredients, alternating between hard and soft items. Serve the juice immediately.
