July Moon Rituals, Time to Get Ready!

HEATHER MARIANNA THE BEAUTY GURU

Fun Fact: I love doing moon rituals. You know I’m always at the crystal’s shops, visiting Sedona, manifesting, journaling, burning my herbs and candles, all the way to hiring intuitive business coaches like Andrea and Amanda.

As the brightest and largest object in our night sky, the Moon makes Earth a more livable planet by moderating our home planet’s wobble on its axis, leading to a relatively stable climate. It also causes tides, creating a rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years. Although we may see the moon as this pristine location with zero pollution and clutter, I hate to wake you, but there are over 800 manmade items littering the moon. I wish it was just footprints and a flag, but it isn’t. The trash left on the moon by us is astounding. From spacecraft, to rovers, to cameras, video equipment, empty food packages, and even golf balls — it’s all there, and its sad. NASA get it together! We’re already fucking up this planet, I don’t even want to know the things we’re doing to MARS that we don’t even know about, LOL.

So, let’s worship the moon in JULY! YES, YES!!!

July 9th is the New Moon, when the Moon reaches a point in its orbit when we don’t see any of the Moon illuminated. At that point, the far side of the Moon is facing the Sun. During the new moon, the side facing Earth is dark.

The New Moon in Cancer is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Crab. These include honoring our deepest, most irrational and intimate feelings; recognizing the sense of security and safety we derive from whatever it is we call home; allowing ourselves to accept support and offering support to others; and starting a project aimed at improving our domestic lives or a major long-term venture. With this potent Cancer energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle.

It’s time to make some plans and set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs. Concentrate on new ways to enhance family life and domestic affairs, and to build up your feelings of security and safety.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 18 degrees and 2 minutes of Cancer. Venus is applying to a conjunction to Mars in Leo, suggesting some highly creative, gently competitive energy attached to this lunation.

July 23rd is the full moon, Aquarius on July 23, 2021, at 10:37 PM.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Leo forms an opposition to the Moon in Aquarius. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 1 degree and 26 minutes of Aquarius, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 27 to 30 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 0 to 5 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

The Leo Sun is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Moon, while individualistic as well, values independence and the team, community, and group spirit. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.

When a Full Moon occurs, we can suddenly burst forth with proclamations and outpours that seem fresh and new, simply because they are not yet rationalized. In fact, a Full Moon illuminates’ feelings, attitudes, and circumstances that are already in existence. This is a time of awakening to the need for others or to answer to humanitarian impulses.

Traditionally, we have called July’s full Moon the “Full Buck Moon.” This name comes from our Native American and Colonial past when the Moon was used to track the seasons. Bucks are growing new antlers at this time.

This full moon, I’m focusing on bringing more loving relationships into my life and clearing out bad old energy, which I’ve been doing so much of. Honestly, I’ve been just cleaning house. It’s okay, onto bigger things that I can’t wait to announce (like who my new PR firm is — its BIG, VERY BIG, as well as a huge project I just inked).

If you want to host your own full moon ritual, here are a few things you can do with crystals and some mantras to speak. Also, check out one of my earliest posts on “Ritual Baths”.

What You’re Going to Need:
– Journal and your favorite pen (a great time to manifest).
-A leaf from outside (or a scrap of paper if you can’t get a leaf.) I prefer writing on leaves, if you want money write on bay leaves baby and drink cinnamon tea!
-Fire or candle
-Matches or Lighter
-Crystals and/or sage (if you use these)

Here are some crystals you may want to bring along!!!
-Crystals for love: aventurine, rose quartz, and malachite.
-Crystals for creativity: carnelian, angel aura quartz, tiger’s-eye, and red jasper.
-Crystals for protection at home and work: black tourmaline, selenite, tourmaline quartz, pyrite, and shungite.

Then, Set Up Your Space:
-Clear Your Space of Distractions
-Turn off the TV and ask others in your household that are not participating to leave you be. You have to create a sacred space free of negative energy or distractions.
-You might want to be alone or in quiet, I also listen to meditation music.
-Light a candle Pink Candles for Love
-Green Candles for Money
-Orange Candles for Success in general
-White candles for protection
-You got to let that moon magic in! If the weather isn’t gross and you have a nice, peaceful outdoor space (like a yard or deck) head outside. Otherwise, just open your curtains so moonlight can fill your space.
-Make sure to turn your lights off inside your house to be more intimately connected to the sky and help the moonlight cleanse your space.

Finally, Do The Following:
-Write What You Want to Release & Attract, Then, write down all the things you want to release and attract in the next 30 days. They can be in bullet form or full sentences. Great things to write down if you are feeling stuck could be things releasing like old memories that are haunting you, or habits you want to let go of. Also write down things you want to attract and manifest, like the power to take hold of your finances and releasing anything holding you back from feeling that power. Be specific if you can.
-Burn & Release. After you finished writing, hold that leaf or paper for a minute. Let what you wrote fill your heart and hold it there for a moment. Visualize what you want to release and what you want to attract. And then, when you are ready, burn it.

Congrats, you just completed your first Full Moon Ritual!
