If you hate cooking and have some extra freezer space, today’s post is all about meal delivery places that I love using. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but it’s easy to cook AND you don’t have to sign up for weekly deliveries that end up getting wasted! I have thrown out way more Hello Fresh boxes than I can count. I also don’t have the time to plan my meals for weeks in advance with those subscription box services.
My first find that I want to share with you guys is Tastes of Chicago (@tastesofchicago). If you love the great food of Chicago this is for you! All the meals come frozen and shipped in dry ice, and you can choose your delivery date. My choices are the Deep-Dish Pizzas, the Italian Beef kit, and the Hot Dog Kits! The kits come with EVERYTHING you need, and I mean everything!
The Hot Dog Kit (which is perfect for a movie night) comes with buns, seasoning, peppers, and everything you need to make a great Chicago dog. The Italian Beef Kit comes with the buns, the gravy to cook the meat in, peppers and juice for the bun. It’s so so good, trust me. The pizzas are great as well, just add 10 minutes to your cook time if you’re cooking them frozen! I haven’t tried anything else from them yet (we all know I am a creature of habit), but I can assure you everything is always perfect and tastes amazing!
My second obsession is Butcher Box (@butcher_box). Although you do have to sign up for their service, it’s all meat and/or seafood and it comes frozen as well so you can cook at your leisure. I usually just do all steaks, but I did add some fish for my next box. It’s very easy to use and you CAN CANCEL ANYTIME. They always have bonus items too. The bonus items in my last box were pork so I gave them to my staff at the office, ha! Check them out and be sure to check for the sales!
Last but not least, I’m going to mention one I’ve seen but have yet to try. While saving photos for this blog, I found this new website, Gold Belly (@goldbelly). They have a ton of meal kits, and I am obsessed with their menu. I always suggest ordering a smaller amount before you go big to make sure it’s a fit for you. I really love the website’s message as well, “We empower restaurants and small shops to ship anywhere”. I’m sure this website has helped so many restaurants, and that, for me, is a great reason to support it.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and that it didn’t make you too hungry. I also hope you can throw in some of these delivery options and liven up your meal routine. Be sure to tag me @AskHeatherMarianna in your delivery meal pics, I want to re-post all of you!!!
