Heather’s Fall Guide to Safe Tanning

As winter approaches and our sunlight hours get fewer, we start to think, “how the heck can we stay tan?!” I’m not lucky to be naturally tan. I either get super white or super dark (when I’m actually exposed to the sun, which I try to avoid, lol) and there really isn’t any in between. Plus, my face is always super pale because I wear so much sunscreen!

I woke up today thinking that I need to hit up a store and get my favorite sunless tanning items ready and stocked for use. So here are some of my must-have items to keep you glowing and tan all fall and winter long. Pro tip: Red holiday lipstick shades look better with a tan! Also, if you mess up your tan, please refer to my previous blog about how to fix it!

My top tanning product that I love is St Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse. Follow them on IG @StTropezTan! I am really in love with this product. I love to use this right before bed, sleep in it, and then bam! Wake up tan. I also love their Bronzing Mist!

Another product I cannot live without is by me, of course, our View Vegan Sunless Tanning Gel! It’s more than just a sunless tanning gel, it works wonders when you are out in the sun as well. This unscented, non-oily and cooling gel actually darkens more quickly when exposed to heat, so this is perfect to use when you are hiking, walking outside, and doing things in the sun. Now once I’ve got my base tan, you got to have a little shimmer, so I love these products! Tom Ford
Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil has the perfect amount of shimmer to highlight your tan. I love using it on my collar bone, nose, and legs. If you want something a little cheaper, I recommend HUDA Beauty‘s N.Y.M.P.H. Body Drip Shimmering Body Oil.

If you aren’t into doing your own tan, that’s fine too! Spray tans are a great alternative. I highly recommend calling my friend Jimmy Coco for those in LA, and if you’re in Las Vegas, I recommend Summer House Tan!
