We’ve all had that BAD SPRAY TAN! It’s the worst! I had a recent experience when my normal spot was flooded last minute before my trip to LA. I went to a spray place versa the spa and I looked BAD! If you end up looking like the orange, best friend from the movie Bridesmaids and need a quick fix, here are a few of my tried-and-true tips to help you ditch the construction cone look and get you back to your natural shade!
Dry Methods:
-Take a pair of exfoliating bath gloves (you can even grab some at Beauty Kitchen Boutique) and lube them up with jojoba oil, coconut oil, or some sort of body oil, then scrub away. It’s best to dry brush the tan first, which loosens it up and makes the oil absorb the excess tan more quickly. Add a few drops of Lemon Essential Oil for that extra kick if you went extra dark like I did, lol.
-Another option would be to mix Lemon Juice with Baking Soda to make a paste, and use that paste with the exfoliating gloves. For this method I just sit in the bathtub and scrub, scrub, scrub.
Wet Method:
Have a pool? Go for swim! Chlorine will actually help remove the tan. This option won’t be as quick as the other methods, but it will definitely help if you have a few days to kill (or maybe a week) and don’t want to irritate your skin with all the scrubbing. Plus, who doesn’t love a little pool time?!
Whatever option you choose, don’t stress! There is always a solution to recovering from a bad spray tan.
XOXO,
