Banish Acne with Strawberries!

Did you know that Strawberries contain enough salicylic acid to be a common ingredient found in natural skincare that targets acne? These little berries also contain omega-3 fatty acids that can help fade dark spots and naturally brighten your complexion!

In today’s post I wanted to share a few DIY recipes using these berries to help you treat acne from the inside out! Adding berries to your diet is a sure-fire way to fight acne, but putting them on your face does wonders as well.

Many sources have found out that the juice of strawberries can aid in skin lightening, and effectively cure blemishes and acne marks.

FOR A STRAWBERRY TONER:

Mash three to four strawberries in a bowl and filter the juice with a clean muslin cloth. Apply the juice all over the face, leaving it on for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water. You can also mix Strawberry juice into your favorite acne fighting toner and store it in the fridge to spritz on blemish marks throughout the day. We recommend a 50/50 mixture and would love to try this with our Chaotic Skin Astringent.

FOR A STRAWBERRY SPOT TREATMENT:

Mash 4 Strawberries with a teaspoon of baking soda and rub the paste gently on the affected acne areas, leaving it on for 5-10 mins before rinsing.

FOR A STRAWBERRY MASK:

Mash 3-4 strawberries in a bowl with a fork until smooth. Stir in honey, oil, and lemon juice until all the ingredients are well-incorporated. Using clean hands or a sanitized brush, gently apply the mixture all over your face, avoiding the eye area. Lie down and leave the mask on for 5 minutes before rinsing with water
